Unlock the Joy of Learning

I have been passionate about Early Childhood Education for nearly four decades. After teaching preschool using others’ philosophies for many years, I realized that the Reggio Emilia Approach truly reflects what I believe in. Giving children a voice and allowing them to participate in their own educational direction is something I strongly advocate for all children.

Equally important to my work is my belief in ConsciousDiscipline. As an avid practitioner, I continue to refine my skills to support children in self-regulation and in developing social and emotional skills that last a lifetime.

When I am not involved in the day-to-day life at Melrose, I volunteer with a nonprofit organization that supports adults with autism and special needs. In my downtime, I enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach or pool, reading, and cooking. My most special moments are spent with my husband, my adult children, my grandchildren, and our two pups.
